Local History Group

The Local History group meets monthly on the Wednesday following the lecture meeting, at 7.30pm in Brookwood Library, and visitors are most welcome.

Publications
The Local History Group have produced the following publications:
Kilmardinny The Story of a House and its Owners - this tells the story of Kilmardinny, our local arts centre, and the various families who have owned Kilmardinny since the mid 15th Century.
Craigallian and the Brysons - tells the story of the Bryson family who were substantial Glasgow merchants from the mid 16th Century and who built the first mansionhouse at Craigallian around 1700. The work also covers other owners of Craigallian Estate and mentions families who married into the Bryson family.
